Clinical Case 3 (continued) 7. Allow template to cool down untill it turns opaque. Remove it from model and cold sterilize it in an appropriate disinfectant (do not autoclave). 8. Place the template into the oral cavity and verify for stability & retention. Take a preoperative radiograph for evaluation. 9. Radiograph indicates positioning, vertical height of bone & tissue, and magnification rate. 10. Bone exposure of the edentulous ridge by incision and retraction of soft tissues. 11. Place the template back into the oral cavity and prepare the osseous with a pilot drill to the desired depth. 12. Remove the template and enlarge the osteotomy with sucessively larger drills, using the prepared pilot hole as a guide for angulations & depth.
